eTeaching: Copyright, Intellectual Property & Fair Use (I)
By Chip Donohue
Easy access to information and resources, and the simple process of cutting
and pasting content from one source to another, raises important issues for
eTeachers in regards to copyright, intellectual property, fair use, plagiarism
and cyber-cheating. In the first of a two-part series the focus is on copyright,
intellectual property and fair use issues. Next week we'll focus on issues of
plagiarism and cyber-cheating.
The Illinois Online Network has a number of resources on copyright and intellectual
property issues at www.ion.illinois.edu/Resources/resourcesintelprop.asp
